In it for the long haul

Having staying power in any industry is tough enough, but to keep on creating year after year is the mark of creative integrity. In 1978 I saw Mummenschanz live at a local theater in Los Angeles. At the time I didn't know they had already been on the Muppet Show two years earlier.


Didn’t hear about Mummenschanz after that. Figured they were hired by Cirque du Soleil and were trapped somewhere on the Las Vegas strip. Then the 2007 Academy Awards appears with those amazing silhouetted people forming the icons of the films up for Best Picture. Who was behind the genius? Mummenschanz.
